Jumeirah Beach Park
The park is the perfect place for relaxing at the beach. It faces the Jumeirah Beach and is a home to
a number of amenities designed for everyone’s enjoyment. There are barbecue pits, walkways, kiosks,
picnic tables, walkways and children’s playground. The park is open to public everyday except
Saturdays and Mondays which are reserved for women and children only.
Zabeel Park
Zabeel Park is the first technology based theme park located between Dubai World Trade Centre and Al Karama.
It is composed of an area of 51 hectares and comprises a number of provisions including food courts,
a cricket pitch, amphitheatre, exhibition centres and special facilities for boating inside the lake.
There is plenty of playing area for children in the form of tot lots, while adults can spend their
time sitting the lakeside restaurants and enjoy the scenic beauty of the park.
The park has been divided into three zones of 281,000 square metres, 162,000 square metres
and 22,000 square metres to distinguish one zone from the other by providing plenty of attractions.
The other important features of the park include a jogging track of 4.3 kilometres surrounding
the park with soft and hard landscaping of approximate width 12 metres.
An area called the mega bowl has been designed with an amphitheatre capacity of 2,000 people.
The park also includes an informal grassed football and games pitch.
A jogging track has also been built around the periphery of the park boundary.
The ornamental boating lake is the central feature of the southern part of the park. A mixture of pedal,
rowing and battery-powered motor boats will be available for hire. Artificial rains will also be
provided to take people around the park. Quad
cycles will be available for hire from kiosks located close to the main entrances.
Safa Park
Covering a total area of 64 hectares, this park is one of the best recreational spots in Dubai.
Various leisure activities - from electronic games to outdoor sports like basketball, running,
jogging, volleyball, football and tennis. There is also a private garden for ladies and children.
The 21-covered barbecue sites and benches make it a perfect dining and gaming destination.
Creek Side Park
The Creek Side Park is an ideal family park. It has a children’s play area, a train, a cable cart, walking and jogging tracks, barbecue sites, a 1,200-seat amphitheater, information booth, 18-hole mini-golf course, three jetties for fishing and exit points for abras. There are two restaurants and a number of kiosks to refresh visitors. All 96 hectares of lawn are immaculately landscaped with botanic gardens containing more than 280 botanical species. All are magnificently displayed in a variety of gardens, some using the “fallaj” – the traditional irrigation system.
Al Mamzar Beach Park
Al Mamzar Beach Park covers a total area of 99 hectares, making it one of the largest parks in Dubai. It has modern facilities: lifeguard stations, changing rooms and beach chalets, swimming pools, children’s playground, picnic areas, an amphitheater and observation towers.
Mushrif Park
Mushrif Park is located about a half hour’s drive from Dubai. The park is very large and has a miniature train to tour the grounds in the afternoons. The park also offers pony and camel rides. “World Village” boasts miniature architectural samples from every continent: Dutch Windmills, English Tudor Cottages and Thai stilt dwellings, to name a few. Separate swimming pools are available for men and women.
Jumeirah Beach Corniche/Open Beach
This popular seaside destination is located off the Beach Road, next to Dubai Marine Beach Club and boasts 800 meters of beach front. It has sheltered swimming areas, showers, shaded picnic areas and children’s play zones. There is no entrance fee and the beach is open all day and night.
